cuz i just bought a 8900/8600 data cable from ebay
after that guy received the money, he said it doesn't work for 8600
i just want to make sure

Hi,

I can't answer your question as such, but if it was advertised as a 8900/8600 data cable, it should do the trick.

If the guy told you it doesn't support 8600 and it really doesn't work when you receive it you should demand a refund. Who did you buy it off btw?

after i bought the cable, the person e-mailed me that it doesn't work for 8600, but it's being delivered

i still want to try it
are there any chance i can use it if i use the 8600 program?

I bought a cable off of eBay for my 8900. Mine how ever, did not say anything about working with the 8600 but I decided to give it a try anyway. It physically would fit in the 8600, but every time I plugged it in it would read "low battery shutting off” or something like that. It didn't seem to do any harm to the 8600 so I wouldn't be afraid to give it a try once you get it just don’t expect it to work though. I would ask for a refund too though if it was advertised to work with the 8600.

Has anyone gotten that cable to work for the 8600? If so please give me some instructions, because Im sick of getting the same old message that Batter is Low and the computer doesnt recognize the driver..... thanks

It sounds like you have the 8900 cable. I have the 8900 cable and every time I try to use it on my girlfriends 8600 I get the same error. You can get a cable for the 8600 at Radio Shack but every time I go and check for it they tell me that their out of it. There are other cables too but most are more expensive. The last time I looked on ebay I could only find one 8600 cable and I thought that it was going for way too much for ebay ($26 the last I looked).
