Change "Date/Time" Banner On 8900??

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've read many many threads about different companies and different configurations, but I haven't really seen any straight-forward answers on this question.

Is the "Date/Time" Banner, on custom wallpapers, changable??

Below are two pictures: mine is the first, and the second is a picture of another Audiovox 8900...mine is Verizon, and I think the other is something like "Telus" ?!

Can I change mine to look like the other??

Thanks in advance,
cuwmb

P.S. ~ Sorry about the picture quality!

Nope. Not until the next firmware update.

I have the second banner style, but would like to change to the first

Where did you get those wallpapers? Is there a site with wallpapers for the 8900? Cheers

Thanks

I tried to download the fish from wap but it wouldn't let me. It said error: save not sucessful

Does it not allow downloads of .gif? Do I need a data cable for this?

Cheers

You can download the .GIF animation to your PC, and then e-mail the .GIF as an attachment using Outlook, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc... Your phone's e-mail should be "your_phone_number@your_provider.com"

This is the only way I got it to work!

Still not luck with the email/screensaver

Out of curiosity, does that fish actually animate on the phone as well?

Yes, but not very well unless you press the {CLR} key. Then he will move pretty good.
