RL-7300 & external antenna

I would like to connect an external antenna to my RL-7300. Has anyone tried to do that yet? I see there are a couple of places that sell adapters that appear to work, but I would like to hear from someone that has actually done it. I live right on the edge of a coverage cell and I need just a little bit better signal. I have been using a Nokia 6360 with an external antenna for the last three years with excellent success - not I'd like to do it with my new Sanyo. Thanks.

As an update to my earlier post. I did order an antenna adapter from wpsantennas.com made by Wilson Electronics. When I plugged it in my signal strength went from ~ -102dbm to ~ -111dbm. Not good. Perfect is -50dbm / worst is -125dbm. I asked them to send me another adapter, it didn't help. I tried 2 additional RL-7300 phones with no success.
