got it off ebay for $10 plus $10 shipping
headset lasts 3 hours, put it back in his holder, it recharges. The holder lasts 25 hours worth on a single AA

neomuzic,
How is the sound on that thing? Also is it heavy on the ear? I have sensitive ears that start to get sore with some wrap around ear pieces.

It arrives today, I'll let you know.
friend of mine has it, its battery life is insanely good compared to bluetooth
my thoughts though, for the price, you can't beat it but I'll know by this afternoon

The headset arrived!
I can't believe how comfortable the ear part is, I have had to always use my bud earpiece. On top of that the weight of it is less than my bud earpiece feels because of the lack of wires--I don't have a pulldown feeling from the wire.
The first time you use it, it must be charged 5 hours. It came with connectors to work on major cellphones if you don't have the standard headset connector. Also a connector to use with a portable and walkietalkie.

Thanks Neomuzic for the feedback, cant wait to hear how the sound quality is. Looks like I might be getting one as well.

Product review:
well the audio quality is not as good as wired but I have never heard bluetooth so I have no comparison. The quality is as good as a 900mhz phone that is not close to the basestation. It took alittle to configure the volume and microphone volume (what the otherside of the conversation hears) right.
But my favorite feature of all... You can answer and hangup the phone with the headset!!!!!!!! It works awsome, just like my old v60 with a hangup button on the wire.
I haven't fooled with voicedialing but I did enable it so I can say who I want to call and just hangup with the headset.
so the convenience of voicedialing, answer and hanging up the phone without touching the phone, the slight static is well worth it
For you bluetooth people.. The battery life is amazing for such a light thing and when its not in use it recharges on the little pager type holder it rests on.

Here is a picture of the setup.
Ignore the white sticker, I was so excited I didn't have a chance to remove the sticker properly.

does it work with the wakeup\hfk option on the 8900??
Posted by: neomuzic
To be frank I never used / figured out how that option worked, if you wouldn't mind giving me alittle directions on that feature I'll test it. Thank you
(I don't have the latest firmware, maybe today I can swing over and have it done)
Posted by: cid420420
the option is in the menu/tools/voice setting the sttings name is "HFK Mode" its supposed to turn on the voice dial while you have the HFK plugged in and say wakeup which you train it to understand in the tools menu

I'll test it but from what I've heard about the latest firmware, I'll retest it after as well.

There isn't a different with HFK mode ON and using this headset.
I was looking through some notes I had wrote awhile ago. I read somewhere HFK mode is a car kit that connects to the bottom of the phone. I wonder if the firmware upgrade enables this for normal headsets

Well, it doesn't look like he's got any currently listed on eBay, and the last ones he had listed he had raised the price to $70. Don't see them on his website either. Looks like you got lucky catching him early!
