I just got an i530 a few days ago and learned about this site while searching for ways to obtain ringtones.

My question is, Is there a way to upload midi files to my i530 from my computer the way people seem to be doing with i730s and other phones? I would assume if, there is a way, it involves some sort of USB cable?

Oh, and please don't laugh at me too much if this is a stupid question; I knew nothing about cell phones a week ago so I can't be expected to know much as of now.

Okay, before I spring for a cord, with the i530 is the only way to get ringtones downloading them from the nextel site (which I can do without the cord anyway) or will I be able to take any midi file I want from my computer and stick it on the phone? Because if not there doesn't seem to be much point to getting the cord.

I would go ahead and get the USB cable for it, that way you have a wider selection of midi's for the phone other then the few thats on the nextel site.
