After using bitpim with success to remove my banner, I was using seed files to upload ringtones. I turned my phone off later. Now when I try to turn it on, the verizon wireless splash screen comes up, part of the music plays, but then gives me a message of "trying to restore data, please wait.....(7)" Anyone have a suggestion of how to fix this before I take it to a verizon tech? Thanks.

I had the same problem when i tried to put on a Java Game on the phone, the phone went on an endless cycle of powering on and off with the same message "trying to restore data, please wait.....(7)".
Unfortunately theres nothing u can do but take it back.

Did they give you a hard time when you returned it, like asking if you had it hooked up or not, and were they able to fix the phone or did you have to get another? Thanks for the reply btw.

I had the same prob with my Audiovox 8600..........
they gave me no problem....they could not fix it and gave me a new one.......
