Personally unless you get a really good deal on the C its not worth it their is a night and day difference between Palm OS 4 and OS 5 the C is using OS 4 and its not quite "up to par" the built in keyboard i nice mind you. Personally if you willing to dish out that much money i would go for a PPC and get a thumb keyboard for it.

The Tungsten C is OS 5, unless I am missing something here.
It's the Tungsten W that's OS4.
Awesome unit with thousands of software titles available.
The keyboard is fabulous: identical to the TW which which I have. Much better keyboard than the Treo, IMO.
As far as a starter palm unit: if you buy a TC you are buying their Porsche model. You may want to look at the Camrys and the Corollas of the Palm world too.
Stay away from anything PPC, no flame war intended, but Palm is more stable and robust.

I've had one for a year, it's a great handheld, the keyboard and hi-res screen were the deciding factors for me.
It has 64 MB so you can put a ton of photos and videos on it too.
Well worth it and the price is coming down too, you can find them for $300, they were $500 last year.
Of course when Verizon offers a Treo with a high-res screen, I'll be getting rid of the T/C, but until then, it's a joy.

Hi
I own the Tungsten C, handheld with the palm operating system 5.21 i believe, it is a cracking litle device and the thumbboard is quite accurate and although i did use to have problems with other pda,s Sony Clie Tg50, and others, because i have big hands and my fingers used to often press wrong keys, but with the Tungsten C this is no longer a problem at all, more of a wonder really, alas though we can always find some negative points about pdas and the like as well as positive, so i shall give you both, for me the WiFi is okay and can have teething problems, and the thing with the Tungsten C is it only has WiFi or the normal beam (infra red) which to me is really crap, could they ( Palm) not have put both BT and WiFi into one unit, they know they could sell them, anyway, another annoying part with the Tungsten C is that i bought mine as a second user unit, therefore there was no headset for the unit, and it does only have mono sound and the input jack for the headset is 2.5 mm another small let down, and trying to get hold of an headset is unrealistic, i cannot even use my Sony Ericsson P900 headset for the Tungsten C as it does not work ?? but apart from that, it is a neat little unit and i can hotsynch wifi or by the cradle?? hope this helps you
