IT WORKS ON MY KYOCERA SE47!!

I bought the USB cable for the LG VX6000 (170-0792 I believe the catalog number is). I downloaded the drivers from FutureDial's website.

So far, I only transferred wallpapers but I'm planning on transferring ringtones. I just have one question. Which directory do I put the .mp3 files into? Thanks!

here is a full post on making and downloading ringers and wallpapers and where to put them and how to do it

Yes, I read that tutorial. It was extremely helpful but it says to

"Put all ringer files (MIDI or MP3) in to '/user/sound/dnld' directory"

and when I use BitPim on my phone, there is no such directory. There's

/user
/sound
/default
/predef
/ringer
/slidesnd

Do I put the .mp3s in /ringer?

Okay, I put the .mp3 file into /ringer and it shows up under my Ringtones on my phone but no sound comes out.

On Audacity, I made the file 24-Bit and 1600Hz. It says "Steroeo, 1600Hz, and 24-Bit." Why isn't it working? Do I have to make it Mono? And how would I go about doing that?

yes - it must be in MONO. Audicty can do this for you if u r making your own ringers - "split stero tracK' and then "mono" from the menu 2 the left of the song.

FYI - you can use iTunes (Mac or PC) to import a song and do all of this for you. You can setup custom "importing" settings with all of this set and have iTunes convert it to .mp3 and be doe with it. BUT, obviously iTunes cannot edit songs.....

most ringers u download from sites are ready to go.
