Just an observation .. i accidentally sent myself a 200K .png ... if you try to set it as the wallpaper, the phone reboots ;p

anyone know a file size limit with respect to this problem?

uhm ... can't delete the image from my media gallery now because it reboots whenever i try to access it

I had this problem, but i had it with a 20k PNG file... same thing, locking up/rebooting, I just waited a day and tried again and it deleted fine.

I guess someone should start noting in the tut. topics that there IS a size limit on the image files

i should note that, well ... i sent a 31K picture and it works fine. can view it in the pix message AND as a wallpaper.

now, the other image, i can view no problem in the pix message .. just not in the media gallery. tried "erase all" in the media gallery while viewing a different picture, but apparently the one giving me a problem is still in there.

poor quality on the phone's side imho

APPENDED: perhaps it's not so much a file size issue as it is a size issue? maybe the length and width can't be really off the wall (my ratio was 139x200)

hehe, i pretty much just had a conversation with myself on this one ;P

i overlooked the resolution setting ... instead of sending pics with 360dpi, i toned it down a bit to 72dpi (that's what the fone is i'm assuming).

not only does it work, but the pictures look 300 times better even at half the overall width and height.
