Now before you all start yelling use the search i have. Anyways my problem is I cannot get mp3s to play on my phone, vox 8900 I have even tried to use others ring tones with no success. i tried some of the ring tones in glocks zip file and i tried to make my own. what am i doing wrong?

i've had similar problems. i'm able to get animations, pictures, and ring tones on my phone fine. Even was able to get free WAP working. I tried overwriting some exisiting SEED midi files with mp3 files that were renamed midi with no avail. It just doesn't play. No idea what i'm doing wrong here...

How big are the ones you are overwriting the seed files with? Try an mp3 under 100kb and make sure to rename to ".mid" not ".midi"

the file I'm trying to load is one of glocks its 159kb and it in *.Mid format

you already have a "seeded" .mid file on their? Or are you using the download _txt method?

i seeded the file, then verified that it was in the txt file also.

do i need to format the header like the mid files?

i do not believe you do. After I mailed my seed file and saved it to my media gallery, all I have ever done was just overwrite the file with one of my liking. I have not encountered your issue yet.

mp3 files under 100 kb does work with seeded file

Yes they do,
I have overwrote my seeded file with a 70k and a 150k file. Both were able to play

One bad thing about ringers over 60-70k is that the caller will here 1-3 rings before it loads on your phone and plays as your ringer through your speakers.
