wondering if u all can help me. I just bought the Kyocera slider and 3 LG-4500's for my wife and kids. I notice that with each of the phones side by side, my slider seems to have always 1 -3 less signal bars than the LG's ??? I have noticed that even with no signal bars, however, I can stilll use the phone. I am wondering if u think there is something wrong with my slider ?? I did notice when I purchased it that the bottom rubber tab covering where the charging port is was missing, as if someone had perhaps returned this phone ??? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah same with me (I have the slider).

My friend has another Verizon phone and right next to each other, her phone has 3 bars and I'll have 1. Even though I can still make calls, she has a better signal.

I just got the phone yesterday and have 15 days to test it out. U think I should switch ?? All the reviews keep saying the reception is so great, I mean it seems to work fine with even no bars, could this thing just be calibrated wrong or something ???

As long as it works, I think that's all that matters. The reception IS great.

yes I agree with u, I just wonder in certain areas, will the LG work while my Kyocera won;t ?? Just seems odd to me that on late model phones the signal strength bars could be so different ??

My girlfriend as an older LG. Sometimes when were at my house she'll have 3 bars and ill have one but she wont to able to connect and make a call but i can. Just thought i would add that

I don't think you can compare bars to bars from phone to phone. I doubt there is a universal standard they all follow to display the same number of bars based on signal strength. It's all in the programming. You could very easily have a stronger signal and show less bars. Doesn't mean anything. Try comparing the same phone side by side. That to me would seem to be a more realistic comparison.
