Hello there,
First post
I have recently bought a NEC e525. it only cost me £79.99 as woolworths are doing a half price offer... so many people are buying this phone and selling it on ebay for about £100 !!!
anyway, i would like to sync my outlook 2000 contacts on to the phone book.
i understand there is some intellisync application on the NEC website.
i have installed this and the usb drivers. when i plug my phone in, the application icon changes in the taskbar. .. but nothing happens ???
all the settings are correct ... but nothing happens ?... i read somewhere that you have to initiate the transfer from the phone, but i can not see this option
I also searched these forums for the PIE sync application this is good. .. but everytime you add a ringtone etc.... the phone reboots!!!! is this normal ?
perhaps there is another easier application to transfer ringstones/pics .... Outlook contacts ?
any advise would be appricated
thanks in advance

phone rebooting is normal and not much of an inconvenience. i think that when you plug in your usb cable and the computer accesses the phone, if you notice you cannot press anything on phone, well i think that the computer takes over the controls and locks you out for the phones safety. rebooting is then the safest way to relinquish control.
this is my nubly guestimate

is your phone unlocked?

I guess this can fit in here, but ill make a new topic just in case too.
I just got a NEC N8/525/313 etc USB data cable through the post today. It came with the NEC N8 CD with memory editor and USB drivers.
I have followed the instructions accordingly and when i have connected my phone, installed drivers and loaded up memory editor i choose COM 3 - The port assigned the the Phone. After clicking finish i just get the message "The operation completed successfully." The program dowsnt load at this point which it should, according to instructions.
Please help me out guys
