Hey, I'm new. Just got a CDM8900 for my graduation. Great phone, but I realized the software and all its gimmicks was crap. I know there's always groups that get in somehow though and hack with this stuff. You guys seem to have this down pretty good, great job. But I'm a noob to the phone, and I jsut had oen question. Where do you connect the cable to the phone? I have a little gray strip covering where a port would be at the bottom of my phone...I assume I have to take it off somehow but if this is the port, how am I supposed to take this off? And can it be put back on? Thanks.

I'm going to get that cable today and download that stuff. Anyway I was wondering, seems like there's a ton of great info on this forum, I could make a website with a forum just for topics like these, and have pics, ringtones, etc for people to download and upload anda knowledge base on the CDM8900 and simular models..if anyones interested let me know.

Allright, i got a grad party to go to in a bit so I'll do it later when I'm bored...if I get bored. I just did that free WAP set up on my phone...that is insane! I resolved the IP though and i got acropolis.cpd.usu.edu...what si it and how did you find out about it? How did you find out about the ##BROWSER too..did you dump the memory from your cell and read it on ur pc?

Also, does anyon know who this little idiot is? He popped up one day and I haven't found a way to get rid of it...I've cheked mail, everything, I donno.

If anyone could tell me how to get rid of it I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

when i got my replacement phone, yesterday, i he appeared. as i got home, he disappeared. i think it might have something to do with speakerpohone or something

One other thing - I tried changing all three UP Links and their IP and Ports to what was in the tutorial but it still won't work. I have cricket service, 8900, brew.

What am I doing wrong?

Look at Page 9 of the Verizon manual for your phone. (I know... nobody wants to read the book.) The symbol for a Voice Memo strongly resembles what you have posted.

I don't use the feature, so I've never seen 'him' before either!
