remove bass with audacity?

Does anyone know how to remove the bass using audacity or any prog for that matter? Im working on making ring tones and the bass is killign my phone

I've used a few ring tones that wanted to do that. I've found that if I normalize then use the Hard Limiter it makes them just right. Depending on the song, move the wet level from 1.00 to 0.25. Some songs need 0.25 some don't need any at all, just play with it and upload them to your phone till it sounds right.
It's not a way to remove the base, but if you removed all the base the song would sound funny.
