Sanyo 8100 (Bell Mobility) Data Cable

I have read a lot of past threads about the data cable for the Sanyo 8100 phone with Bell Mobility but I have heard many different responses saying things work & things don't work. I would like to get a definite answer cause I cannot seem to get anything to work except for backing up screen savers & ringtones from my phone to my PC and not the other way around. I wish to put images & ringtones from my computer onto my phone using the data cable. Is there anyway to do this with a Bell Mobility version of this phone? Or was this cable a waste of time???
If so what kind of software or websites can i use?

doesn't seem to work and BitPim only download & no uploads... Please help...

Thanks.

For now, that's about all you can do. The problem is the firmware in the Bell version is new and the authors of the various software programs need to make updates to work with the phone. Give it time and BitPIM (which is still just test software) should work, along with others like DataPilot and SnapMedia.

T1mmy's site does indeed work fine with the Bell phones now after someone <cough> asked him to add a header for compatibility. You should be able to "send" an image or ringtone to your phone just fine. You won't get an automatic message because of the setup, but you can simply browse to the T1mmy site on your phone using the link that pops up at his website. The download will start on its own. If you're having problems, then I suggest you read T1mmy's info page to see what you're doing wrong.

I have placed various images, midi ringtones, and even QCP voice-ringers on several Bell phones through T1mmy's site. Try it again.
