7610, installing themes

I have installed about 20 themes yet when I look in "Manager" it only shows apprx 5. Does anyone else's 7610 do this and is it a bug? I can delete them from with Themes so thats not a problem. Its just a question.

I think it depends on the theme/theme author. Not really a bug.

Press Right dude. The initial list is are the default themes.

He/She is talking about the Themes in the manager app. not about the Themes in the Themes app.

On my 6600 it used to show all the themes that I had installed in Manager.

When you open themes it shows the themes installed on the phone and not on the memory card. Press right on the joystick and you can access the themes on the memory card. Dont install themes on phone memory your phone will slow down.

Morpheus, are you still in the Matrix? My question was that all my installed themes does not show up in Manager. I can see what is on the phone and on the memory card. I just wanted to know why it doesn't work as it did in the 6600 with all installed themes showing up.

Does it show only 5 themes even after you install some other theme. You can try that as something might be wrong with the themes.

It still only shows apprx 5 themes even when I install a new theme. But the phone or the themes are not affected in any other way. If I install a new software programme that shows. So definately something to do with the themes. And the ones that Manager does show do not appear to be different in any way. Perhaps its some new idea Nokia has not to show more than a few. Maybe they knew the Manager would get too long trying to list my 20 or more themes. I will just accept it as a bug in the software, unless I hear otherwise.

I must say, I didnt like your last film (Matrix) and I still cannot fathom out what the point of the film or ending was. Still! It was good to be kept in suspense for so long, only to still be in suspense.

Also does it show only some themes or in order. For eg - if u install theme a,b,c,,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k does it show a,b,c,d,e or in random like e,a,f,j,k . My 6600 displays 16 themes, as far as i know the 7610 has the same ver of OS. Dont think it is a bug.

What you can try at last is remove all the themes and install them one by one. Install 6 themes and see how many the manager displays and so on.

No, it doesnt show them in any particular order. However I have just installed two new themes and they now show. So now I have 9 showing. I dont want to go to the trouble of uninstalling all the themes. But many thanks for your help.

BTW Can you tell me how the 7610 is better than the 6600. Except for the camera.

You now have a larger memory card 64 against the original 32 that was in the 66. You already know camera is better but it has a knock-on effect on the images and of course the video quality. video is now 10 minutes, was 10 seconds on the 66 and phone has video editor and album. These were all third parties that had to be purchased separately and trialled through trial and error to see if they worked for you. Phonehas chat (which is on several lower versions of nokia phones - but I have never used it). It has presence but its not something the networks supports as yet. In terms of functionality there is not much difference apart from the camera but I went for it as the shape and style is much more pleasing than the 66. But those who have the 66 and are happy with the camera quality or use an alternative camera (which I dont) wont see a point in the move. But I'm vain, and weak-willed where nokia phones are concerned. I HAVE to have it, IF I want it. I dont drink or smoke. So this is my only vice.

Is the display the same as 600. Or is it better ? Because earlier I had a 3660 which had 65k color screen and the 6600 also has a 65k color screen. But the 6600 display was much more clear and bright then 3660.
