A lot of people talk about Opera on the forums, so I was just wondering if it was better than the factory browser. And if so, in what way? The factory browser is working pretty decent for me. Im doing 38kbps. Thanks.

I prefer Opera

Opera will fit the whole page onto your P900 screen as opposed to internal browser where you have to scroll left/right plus up/down to view the page. Opera much better system. Where did you download Opera? There is an updated version on opera website, it's a little better than the one on the CD.

A simple answer is...

Built-in brower is for wap surfing.

Opera can view html sites (most) so you can surf like your home PC except for the slooooow speed of GPRS (better than nothing). Therefore it's better because your options are unlimited as it is the regular internet not just wap sites.

well i took everyones advice and downloaded opera last night via my P900 and installed it and i must say it is better than the factory browser. i especially like how everything is rendered vertically. no more side scrolling! i downloaded it from the post in this forum.

The standard browser can do HTML.

But yeah , Opera is soooooo much better as a browser, it'll handle frames and multiple windows and even secure pages quite well - my only complaint is that it's a bit memory hungry.

Yeah, I find myself having to clear cache, deleting cookies often to make room for more pages.
