P900 Synching error

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've not been able to sync my phone to my pc for the last couple of days. The cable connection is fine - I can access my files etc but when I attempt to sync I get the following error :

ODBC MICROSOFT ACCESS DRIVER LOGIN FAILED
The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions on what may be causing it? As far as I know I've not made any changes that may have affected the settings, so it's a bit of mystery to me.

Thanks for your help,

Open your list file with notepad.exe
Look at how the MDB files is referenced. If it is a mapped drive, change to a UNC path.

Also try looking here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...connectattr.asp

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't understand it

Do you have the filename and extension of the "list file"
Once I find it can you explain more about what I'm looking for and what I should be changing. I think I know what a mapped drive is but what's a UNC path.

I'm sorry about this but it all seems so technical. I had a loot at the site you mentioned and I didn't understand it at all.

Thanks again for your reply and I hope to hear from you again soon.

If it makes any difference - after I get the error message it asks me to enter my username and password. I have neither. Then it ask me to select the database file. The default is pointing to:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Ericsson\Sync Station\hermes.mdb

I've tried opening this file in MS Access and I get the same error message.
