i just replaced my 8100, and before i go any further in terms of getting rid of it, i want to reset it to clear all of my phone book and call history out of there.

does anyone know how i'd go about this?

go to settings, then select Security, enter the lock code. which for my phone until i reset it was the last 4 digits of my phone number, do'nt know how that works down in the States, but either way try 0000 and the last 4 digits of your phone number and if that doesn't work contact customer service. once you enter the lock code this will give you access to all kinds of Resets. including full phone reset.
