VX6000 Uploaded Ringtones will not Delete? Help?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I uploaded ringtones via datapilot through its ringtone composer program. I then added 2 more mp3 ringtones through Bitpim. Then I decided to delete all files in My Media/ Music for some new ringtones. All mp3 ringtones deleted but the others still show up textwise: as the music was deleted but the files still show up. Anyone had this problem. I tried to reset to default but no dice. PLease help!

Thanx

All the .map files are re-generated at power-up, and any images that are no longer stored on the phone will not be added to the new .map files.

I'd suggest backing up the root folder first...

Oh. That's Joe Random's trick. (he's a user here, wrote a very nifty little map editing program which you can find in the software forum. It lets you rearrange the order of the ringers and stuff on your phone.

I tried to give him credit, but I forgot to close the quote tag, because I'm not very bright.

I'll go check your other thread, but I'm pretty sure it's not possible.
