Sanyo 8100 Software for Internet Connection

Hi.

I recently got a Sanyo 8100. I'm looking into hooking it up to my laptop for light internet usage while on the road. I've found a USB data cable on Ebay, but cannot find a free source of the connection software. Various people have posted that Sprint once provided this software for free on their website, but all the links are dead. If someone could point me to a currently active source for this, I'd appreciate it. Alternatively, if someone has it downloaded for either 98/2k/XP and wouldn't mind sharing it with me, please PM me.

Thanks a lot!

I asked for FREE software, like the software originally provided by Sprint. I'm pretty sure that the software from FutureDial is NOT free, although if it is, please correct me.

Once again, does anyone have the FREE software, presumably from Sprint, that they would like to share.

It's not that I'm opposed to paying $30, it's just that I don't see why I should pay for something that was once free....

Thanks.

There is no free software which allows you to do this.

If you are looking for pirated or a stolen version of some software application, look elsewhere. You won't find it here.

I'm not sure why you have to be rude about. Are you denying that Sprint once gave away this software? If so, I believe you are mistaken.

If you would read, you'd see that I'm not looking for a pirated version of it. I've said, REPEATEDLY, that I'm looking for the Sprint version.

Go ahead mod, lock this thread, just because I said you're wrong...

First off, you are wrong hobo, you don't need any software to get your internet up on your PC. All you have to do is create a new connection in Windows, make it dialup using the phone number #777, set username and password to their corresponding values, and you are set.

Why insult a mod when he was clearly trying to help you?

I hardly think I was being rude. it was a simple reminder of the rules. How you took my post as "rude" I can't quite figure out.

In any case........

If you're so in need of the "Sprint" version perhaps you'd be better off searching/posting in the "Sprint" forum not the Sanyo.

Thanks for the tip Sneak. I didn't know about the 777 number. I really didn't need the Sprint software. I was merely asking how to get Internet on a PC without buying the FutureDial software, which apparently is indeed possible.

I'm still rather confident that Sprint once gave this software away (I have the version for connetcting via Wireless Web on my old Samsung), plus I've read it in other places on the web. But it's not important now.
