Originally posted by Naveen I just wish the Treo had bluetooth, so I could use a wireless earpiece, but the size of the Treo is not bad. The P900 already has a sucessor in the works. I think Sony is either really running behind the pack, or they can not make up their minds with the P series. Each time i look at the P, some thing is being changed or upgraded even before it's release. |

Originally posted by catchamental It's funny. I'm looking in the palm forum because after having my P900 for a few weeks now I think I may want to go with my original plan when I was looking at smartphones and thats the Treo 600. I actually cant believe it. P900 is supposed to be the most technologicaly advanced phone out but something just doesnt do it for me. the only killer is.....the freacking screen on the treo. After having a nice vivid screen I am finding it hard to give it up for a lousy screen. |

on it to see how it would feel and its not too weird. the p910 is lighter so it will be better. that's not really the issue with me. its functionality. the treo just seems easier to use...especialy one handed. |

Originally posted by Silver5 The P900 is a great all-in-one device, but I found some of the following to be annoying: -handwriting recognition is nowhere near as good on the P900 as it is on Pocket PC; having to determine which part of the screen to write on for each symbol/letter/number is really an annoyance and it often got the letters wrong anyways. -battery life when using bluetooth was really short, both for the headset and for the phone. My HS810 with the P900 would be dead in about half the time, a little past 2hrs of use, when compared to using it with my V600 which let it last well over 4hrs and plenty of standby. -contact management is not good in comparison to the Treo 600 or the Pocket PC. Some fields, such as a second or third address where simply omitted from the P900 contact display screen even when they were listed under the contact in Outlook. Quite simply, the PDA functions of the P900 are not as good as the Treo 600. The P900 is a fine phone, but for its size it just doesn't do the things that PPC Phone Edition and Palm OS smartphones do. The Treo's keyboard is fairly easy to use, though not as easy as the blackberry or my buddy's "blueberry" but it is much, much better than I thought it would be. I rarely hit the wrong key, and I greatly prefer this to writing on the P900, as well as using T9 input. |
