Yes, it was a secret. However, business customers were able to order Monday and Consumers were able to order Yesterday (Wednesday). I ordered mine yesterday but there is already a backorder until next week, because of the Enterprise customers. There is no mention on the VZW site, but you can call 1-800-2-JOIN-IN (The regular VZW sales line) and order it today. $449.99 retail before any discount or rebate.

I called that same number today and they didn't know
what I was talking about. He gave me his contact information and told me to keep trying. After researching the PDA/phones, I think the Treo 600 is right for me. When I talked to my husband about it tonight, he mentioned that he would also like it to be
able to download weather info while flyling. The software
he's familiar with is anywheremap. I guess it can tell you
if there are storms, bad weather. This may be a dumb
question but does anyone know if the Treo 600 would work with that?

I would call the number again. 1-800-2-JOIN-IN. I placed my order yesterday, and actually called today to try and get a ship date. They wouldn't confirm a ship date, only telling me about a week or so.

Thanks I even told the salesperson I wanted to order it and
he wasn't familiar with it. He said they hadn't received any training manuals. I also have a direct # to one of the stores
(they told me to call 1-800-2-join-in) and he told me he only had the prototype for it, no other info.
With reference to anywheremap, I see it uses Windows CE
so I'm assuming it's not compatible with anywheremap?
I know this is my 1st post, so I understand if no one
wants to answer.

If anywheremap uses WinCE then it will not work on the Palm powered Treo. Two completely different operating systems. It's like using a Windows App on a Mac...it just doesn't work.

Actually you can you windows apps on the Mac with Virtual PC. They are just a bit slower due to the emulation of the windows OS. It's the other way around that doesn't work. :-)
