Need Help! with Samsung A680...Need instruction on how change Mode setting

I have a Sprint Samsung A680, which I bought from eBay.
It had previously assigned phone #. What's odd is that
it came with the MODE set on 'Analog' 1900. I am trying to change it to Digital by highlighting the word 'Analog' and pressing enter but it would not do anything.
I have the MSL code which I've retrieved from the phone using the software I have.
Does anyone know how to change the mode setting?
