First off, this is my first post, and I want to thank everyone who answered my questions about my GD88 through previous posts. You were all an amazing help when I unlocked and modded my phone yesterday. The forum is amazing.

I have one problem though. I did the downgrade, unlock, and upgrade like usual, and I upgraded with a53 modded firmware from 'http://gd87bios.pagesonline.net/' the mod is that mac themed firmware which is pretty neat, anyways whenever I try to access the browser, my phone resets. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a firmware problem? Or did I make a mistake with my settings somewhere? I'm a fido subscriber, and other than the browser not working (and MMS, but I think that's a settings problem, the phone works perfectly) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any takers? It's the only problem with my modded phone. maybe I can help with someone else's problem? Unlocked, Themes, games? but I can't get my browser to work.

Friendly reminder:

Discussions regarding unlocking a cell phone are not permitted. If you want to help someone with another topic (as you mentioned: themes, games, modding, etc.), that's fine.

Thank you.

Yes, whenever you do a flash to a different version firmware, you need to do a Memory Erase using CB2000......otherwise you will have this problem...

BEWARE: It will wipe all GPRS settings, MMS settings,Phone No. etc...
So write it all down, then do the Memory Erase/Function Clear

This will fix your problem.....

Afterwards you will have to reinput all your settings..., then retry browser - it will work...!!, I had same problem before too...

Yeah, I figured it out when someone was having the same problem with another part of their phone. My internet works great now! Thank you for replying!
