6070 Data Cable Driver Issues

*Sigh*

Before anyone flames, I've searched this topic for days, on this forum and other forums with absolutely no luck.

What I have:

LG6070 from TELUS
Data Cable advertised to work with the 6070 from customcell.tk
Drivers CD that came with the above mentioned Cable.

The problem:

Following the CD's instructions, I install the XP USB Cable Drivers and i'm told the install was successful. I restart the computer (as per instructions) and put the cable in (connected to the phone and the PC). XP then proceeds to telling me that "USB Device Not Recognized"

I know alot of people have gotten their 6070 to work with the Data Cable and Bitpim, but whatever I do always yields the same outcome - failure. I even tried letting Bitpim connect to my phone even with the USB Device Not Detected message blaring in the background hoping that it was just some small glitch causing it. No luck, Bitpim won't detect the phone.

I checked Device Manager and sure enough, although installation told me it was successful, I can find no drivers for the Cable or the Phone.

Help??
