I am with Verizon, unfortunatly, I work in the basement of a building and need a tri-mode phone with excellant reception. Which Verizon phone would you recommend?

The New LG VX3200. TRIMODE. Very Good RF and SpeakerPhone.

Should the Audiovox 8900 be considered? I cannot find a good review of the call quality of that phone, was considering it, nice feature set, speakerphone, camera, etc...

I put an extendable v60i antenna on my v60s and the RF on it now is just amazing. You might have a hard time finding the v60s at a VZW corp store - might want to try an indirect.
