Sending PHOTOS to the 8900?

With the new application we can all send images to be used as WP, and we can download photos that we've taken to the PC, but can we UPLOAD photos to the photo directory safely? Reason I ask is because I took photos of my friends with the camera, to use as their caller image... I'd like to take photos I have on my PC and use those in place of the ones I used the phone to take.
Is it safe to upload them with BitPim or something else?

Well since no one had any input I went ahead and tried it... and....
It didn't work-- but it didn't jack the phone up so I suppose it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

You can do it with Bitpim. First of all, they have to be .png files (you can convert them with Photoshop). Once you have your .png files, they go in the brew\shared\images dir. If these dir. aren't there, you can just right click and create them your self. That's what I had to do. Also, they should be 128x145 or some where in that area.

Read a bit more closely. I know how to send 'images' I was refering to PHOTOGRAPHS, and yes I know that you can use a photo as a PNG image, but the phone sets a marker between the two, with those terms so I thought it would be sufficent when I used them.
Guess not.

I've always been able to use just about anything wither it be an image or photo. I can even scan photos with my scanner and then go into Photoshop and convert the scanned image to a .png file and put that on my phone. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "marker". The only thing I can guess is that your photos are too big in resolution. If you use Adobe Image Ready you can resize your image to what ever you want then it should work fine. Maybe I'm still misunderstanding you though. If so, I'm sorry. I hope this helps you though.
