s40: how to enable real time call timer

can u enable real time call time for s40 /w rogers at&t sim. was told this feature was barred by the service provider and it's possible to use a different provider sim to re-enable the call timer display, any idea? your help is much appreciated

You need a sim that will enable that option. Usually the european sims will allow you to enable the call timer. . . Then it'll stay enabled when you insert your other sim. ..
