How do I remove my cingular logo?

Anyone know how I can remove my cingular banner/logo, it's gets in the way of my wallpaper

I have a C1300.

If Cingular sets up their banners like Verizon you can't remove it. It's there to tell you if your roaming or not. But I have no idea if that's how Cingular does it.

Use the search button up top there

enter something like

"remove banner cingular <phone model>"

without the quotes, you should find a bunch of posts to do it

I have Verizon and they told me that you can't take it out... but I got rid of it today... it's a finle called eri.bin, but you have to be careful or you won't be able to restart your phone...

All I can say is make two backups of the file when you find what directory it's in... mine was in the root directory in a folder titled "eri"
