Im trying to email, and MP3 to my VX6000 cell phone. i trimmed the mp3 down to about 25 kb.(about 10 sec.) then im sending it to my phone using (my number)@vzwpix.com. on my phone, i get the message, but the file i put as an attachment(the mp3) gets dropped.

Also i've read in a lot of the posts, the file has to be a .mid, how exactly do u go from mp3 to mid. i tried getting a program that converts it, but then it sounds all messed up

thanx in advance,

i'm not sure if this applies for the 6000, but on my 7000 it dropped the mp3s as well, but accepted wav files. it always converts them to AMR files tho, i dunno what they are.

Without a data cable, just rename your .mp3 to .mid (highlight file, F2). Make sure everything in the name and file extension is lowercase.

You gotta enable viewing of file extensions then.

My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View>uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

i have one problem, i got all that to work and the song will play on my phone, but i cant get the song to repeat. It will only play through once, then the ring is over... how can i get it to repeat?

Gotta get a data cable because sending through via vzwpix you're limited to 30kb songs. I got my Futuredial cable from Radio Shack for $20. Just dl the drivers off their site too.

i do have a data cable. i have a LG LX5450 phone, how many songs can i put on/ how much memory space do i have to work with? (megabytes? KB?)

I've read that you can put 20 ringtones and 20 wallpapers. I personally only have about 15 ringers at 400kb on my phone.

There's a thread that tells you how to put 70 ringers and 70 wallpapers. But 20 and 20 is plenty for me

20 FULL songs? i mean, i reduced the quality some, but still, 20 some ?

Well, 20 400kb songs should be fine. Someone's probably tried the max filesize but I don't know.
