What's the difference...

I'm comparing VS/TM and Cingular, I'd like to signup with one of them this week but I'm having trouble making the big descision.
Both VS/TM & Cingular appear to have the same coverage accorging to their map, they offer just about the same service in minutes/price/free roaming.
Does anyone have helpful advice for me? I'll be using it in the Washington/Oregon/Idaho and sometimes California areas.

from what I heard Cingular uses the same towers as Voicestream.. Or it might of been the other way around.. that's why the coverage looks the same..
