Which software to use with USB cable to retrieve phone numbers?

I have a LG vx1 and the verizon mobile office kit. It comes with a USB cable which allows me to use the phone as a modem with my laptop.
First, can I use this same cable to download my address book from the phone onto my computer?
Second, what software do I need to do this? I'd prefer free software, but I'll pay for some if no free ones are available.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can try LOCK BOX available as a one day demo on Verizon, Get it Now. It's under get going > business tools.
Download the demo. It's full working version. upload your numbers. You can then download the app as a demo onto a VX 6000, 4500 or 4400 and restore your numbers to your new handset.
It's a little fisher price but it can work in the right situation.
They are also promising web access to the numbers soon (Aug)
