ringtobes stuck. help please.

i tried deleting these 3 ringtones and they wont delete. it is songs i downloaded with my usb plug. i even deleted all my ringtones which didnt do crap. 
please help

you have to delete the tones at the phone
trying to delete them with bitpim, mucks up the data map but does not remove the file from the phone
you have some reading too do
then some corrective work to fix the situation.
you will need to read it and understand it before you can fix it.

is their anyway i can just reformat my cellphone and everything be gone?

Go into file explorer in bitPIM.
browse to "/download/dloadindex"
Delete the following files:- brewRingerIndex.map
- mmsDrmRingerIndex.map
- mmsRingerIndex.map
Turn off the phone, turn it back on.
That'll fix it.
