Does anyone know of any physical store which has the S56 cable/synchronization kit in Florida, preferably in the Orlando/Central Florida region?

I checked, Cingular stores nor Cingular at Best Buy stocks these cables, but I'm sure there has to be some small store somewhere that sells at least the generic cables for the S56.

I plan to use the cable for a fw upgrade.

did you try an attws store? they might have some. otherwise i'd suggest getting one off the net somewhere. i got a serial data cable from eforcity.com and it worked well for the fw upgrade

If you haven't followed the thread in the At&t board, their corp stores are clearing out "old" accessories, and the cable you are looking for is one of those. I picked some up for $1. They also had SL56 batteries and charging cradles for the same price. Yes $1.

Unfortunately, I called the ATT store here and they said they don't even have any stuff for the S56 or the SL56.

So, any other places that I might be able to get it at (other than the web)?

ok, does anyone know of any website which I can go to which I can buy a cable from, and which I can return the cable for a refund (restocking fee is OK) ?

Eforcity.com apparently says that it's fine (to return), but after reading reviews on resellerratings.com, I do not trust that site.

Some other sites don't seem to have clear return policies - basically they'll give you store credit and not a refund, unless defective.

Anyone know of any sites?

After hearing about the clearance at ATTW stores late, I hit each one in town that Tuesday, looking for accessories for my S56. I saw USB datacables at three of the five stores in town. I bet if you checked out all six of the Orlando AT&T stores, you'd find at least one of them that still had that USB cable for a buck.

Yeah, try calling all the ATTW stores in your area. The first two stores that I called didn't have them anymore. The third one, in Chelsea, NYC still had a few. I asked to hold one for me and headed straight to the subway. The price was $1.09(tax included). YES!!

You can also buy from ATTW's web site, although at their regular price fo $39.99.

WOO!!

I found an ATT store that I always knew existed, but never thought of... so... I almost stopped the car in the middle of road... ran into the store, and went through the clearence boxes like a madman. I foudn the ONLY data cable in those boxes for ONE DOLLAR!! w00t

I also bought a desktop charger ($1) and a Y-splitter ($6) for my phone.

SWEET
