If your 8900 won't delete a wallpaper...try this

I'm new here, and so far have only asked questions; trying to give a little back.
I've been using Brewsky on my CDM8900, and hit a problem: I uploaded a wallpaper image that was (apparently) too large. Tried to delete it from the phone, but it would not display the image - so I couldn't even access the option to delete it; the phone would only cycle to the Verizon boot screen whenever I tried to display the image (in Media Gallery)
.
Brewsky told me to delete the image via the phone - which, as I've just described, I couldn't do.
HOW TO DELETE THE FILE????
What I did was:
I created a new, SMALL image WITH THE SAME FILENAME,
and uploaded it via Brewsky. The phone then displayed the image (in Image Gallery) without complaint, and I could successfully delete it.
(Obviously, you could also just replace the image with a properly smaller one the same way...)
I don't know if the size of the file alone was too large (I think it was about 37 kb), or if I bumped up against a global memory limit, but...
Hope this might be helpful to someone who errs as I did...
(and apologies for wasting bandwidth if my "discovery" is already
common knowledge)
