Has anybody tried using s55 as a modem to dial in to the internet provider? Is it possible? I am currently on city fido and would like to know if such an option exists.
thanks

I haven't been able to do it either. Have you tried the GPRS modem assistant that comes with Data Suite?

I'd also like to know who's been able to do this.

On annother note, has anyone been able to use the s55 as a modem for their Palm OS device? My S55 didn't seem to like my Palm Vx trying to dial my ISP at all.

How did you connect your s55 to palm Vx?

You can do this via IR.

Here's a link that tells you how to do it. The only problem is that I'm not sure if it's correct for the S55:

AT&T makes you choose between GSM dial-up and GPRS. It is likely your SIM card is set up for GPRS, so AT&T will switch off GSM data (unlike every other phone company that I know of - the restallow you to have both). So, if that is the case, you will need to get AT&T to cancel GPRS and enable GSM data - remember, you will only get 9600 bit/s connections, not too good for surfing.
