I found some polyphonic ring tones I'd like to download, but when I go to them in the Openwave browser, it just plays them and I can't find an option to save the ringer. Anyone know how to do it on my LG 6070?

hey, sorry to bump an old thread like this, but i have the same problem.
i have a vx7000, i click ok over a ringtone link, it opens the object and plays the ringtone, but it doesn't actually save it to the phone.. what could be our problem?

i want to do the exact same thing; i can view pics downloaded from the 'net and i can listen to the ringtones, but i can't figure out how to save them - i fear it can't be done

They actually sent me a Motorola by mistake. Thank god. sounds like LG is a bit behind.
I created an XHTML website for myself and tried to download ringers but couldnt figure out how to save them. What a bummer.
Go MOTO.

I read from a post that it is impossible to save any wallpapers/ringtones from WAP. Verizon has blocked out all media contents because they want you to use their expensive Get It Now service. You can view/play it but you can't save it.
They are redesigning their vzwpix site to stop people from sending wallpapers/ringtones to cell phones. At least we can still e-mail them as attachments. It's only a matter of time before Verizon finds a way to block that off too. Verizon = greedy bastards!

Okay, what do you do now? Use your own website. Thats the FIRST thing I did on my ATT Motorola (on mine its called mMode, bleh). I put a little PHP & XHTML into the blender and made my own site that I could download whatever I wanted from.
The second thing I did was purchased a data cable because my net usages for the phone went through the roof! $40+ Now, I just use an application to transfer whatever I want to my phone.
PM me and Ill give you the address to my WAP site. It will be up for a little while longer (I dont use it anymore since it costs money for net usage and I have a cable now).
Just a side note:
Remember when MIDI's held virtually no value whatsoever? I cant believe that only a few years ago, midis couldnt hardly be given away. Now you pay $2.99 for them just to listen to them on a phone with limited midi capabilities. Oh how the money hungry people take advantage.

i've got my own WAP site, and my data usage is free (unlimited n/w) but the problem we have is that stuff can't be downloaded through the browser, not that we can't get stuff from verizon's website. I broke down and bought my own data cable, but i am still determined to find a way to download through my free net!

Being as though I have no more access to the openwave browser, would it be possible to view the pages source that youre trying to get these tones from? If youre able to purchase from them via your phone, then its possible to download them. You just have to know how.
I would be really interested in a URL that directs me to a download... If you could do that, I could probably figure it out.
Gimmie some addresses people :-)
