Sorry, this has nothing to do with Siemens. I just know a lot of people from Germany hang out in this forum.
There's this discussion in the CAR forum that ask, "how do you pronounce the word 'Neuspeed'"? http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...&threadid=41144
It's a name of a company started in America by somone named Neumann (<-- this definately a German name, right?).
I always thought it was 'NEW-speed' but now am wondering if it should be 'NOI-speed'.
If you're name was Neumann and some American goes up to you and says, "Hello Mr. NEW-man", is he wrong? Is "NEW-man" an acceptable pronouciation?
If you reply, you can either do it here or in the car forum.
Thank You very much,
Mark

Germans say "Noymunn".
I'm quite sure it is a name of German origin. It means Newman, indeed.
BTW: I think it is fully acceptable if somebody with another mother tongue pronounces your name his way. You cannot know about all languages.

Thanks Frank
I saw you in looking in the car forum. Why didn't you post?? Oh nevermind, lets get back to discussing "Zeemens".
