Hi,
Unfortunately my gd87 phone has been broken, literally into two pieces as the clam shell top has been ripped off, breaking the ribbon wire inside.
What I am wondering is, is it at all possible to repair this? I have asked in my local vodaphone shop but they were not really interested. I don't so much want the phone but it has many treasured photos on it which I would love to be able to access - i didn't get round to downloading them with my data cable : (
The guy at vodaphone mentioned soldering the wires back on but wasn't really interested, i was wondering if anyone knew if would be possible for me to buy another gd87 and somehow bodge the 2 together and get my data back?
or am I wasting my time? any advice would be appreciated
many thanks

you did not say if the bottom half is working or not, if it's not working, you cant do nothing.
if it's working
1) you could buy a used phone and switch the parts
2)you could buy and lcd + housing off ebay for $80 ( china-store)
3) if only the LCD IS BROKEN, i beleive you could access the phone using EDIT TOOL SOFTWARE (panasonic site) and a SERIAL CABLE
for 1 and 2 you will need a TRI WING screwdriver and it's not hard to do it
good luck
