I purchased a T226 on ebay (to replace my lost Siemens S56). It is set to AT&T Service while Im a Cingular customer. I am told I have to unlock my phone. Will Cingular do this for me?? If not, how do it myself??

And if its not too much trouble, do I need to purchase a new SIM card direct from Cingular, or can I from ebay?? Will I need to activate the phone through Cingulat too??

You will need to unlock the phone yourself. My best suggestion is see if the person will give you your money back. Niether company will unlock the phone for you.
