I want to remove the words "Verizon Wireless" from the two screens - ESPECIALLY the front one. Anyone know how to go about this?

Not sure what phone you have.

Standard disclaimers about using Bitpim apply!

On the VX3200, use the Bitpim "File" tab and get the file /eri/eri.bin. You can use a hex editor to view/modify the file. The first "Verizon Wireless" in the file is the one that shows on the screen when you have normal service (as opposed to roaming, etc). You can replace it with spaces (ascii 20) or whatever characters you want. You must then overwrite eri.bin with the modified file. Then turn off the phone and turn it back on. I have modified mine successfully.

Sorry I meant to say it's a VX7000. And yes I have a cable and bitpim. Thanks.
