I have a cdm8900 telus phone. I down loaded a jpg instead of a pif. I now can't get rid of it and every time I use the phone and go into wallpaper images and I scroll down to the file I downloaded it freezes. I haven't been able to get rid of it. If necessary I will reset the phone if someone can tell me how.
Thanks Stew

I'm using Brewsky w/ my 8900. I put a .png on my phone that was apparently too large for the phone. The phone refused to display the pic, thus I couldn't get access to the option to delete it on the phone.
I got around it by making a new image WITH THE SAME FILENAME, but much smaller size, then uploaded it to the phone via Brewsky.
The phone apparently overwrote the old file, 'cause it would then display the image, and I could delete if I wanted.
You could try uploading a .png named EXACTLY the same as your .jpg - including the .jpg file extension; the phone might then overwrite the .jpg, and treat it normally.
Worth a shot...
Otherwise, can you not delete it using BITPIM (though I've read here that that's risky...)?
