Does anyone know if I do the rom upgrade on an unlocked phone, would I loose the ability to go on any GSM Network??

I asked this question to a website that offers network unlocking for the mpx200, and they told me that once the phone is network unlocked, it remains unlocked forever. Even if you do a firmware update or a hard-reset. The site was unlockitnow and I submitted my question through their "contact us" page.

There is something else called a SIM Lock on the mpx200, which a user can enable/deisable. Basically this just prevents the phone from making any phone calls unless you enter a PIN number to unlock it. At least that is my understanding of the SIM Lock.
