Upgrading the V60t

I have an old V60t monochrome from AT&T. I wanted to upgrade to a v400 but, CellularOne is horrible, so I will not be upgrading. What I was hoping was to update by V60. Can I remove the old screen and add a color LCD, and update the firmware to a v60t color and have it work? It seems that the mono is just a cheaper version of the color. Thanks
