Motorola V60i GSM NOT WORKING HELP !!!!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: ellasman

I have a problem. I bought a v60i gsm phone on ebay to take to europe for my vacation so i can have a cell phone on pre paid over there. Anyway, its a Cingular Branded Phone i bought from eBay. Its missing the band switching feature under the Menu -> Settings -> Other Settings -> Network.

The feature that switches bands on the phone from 1900MHz to 1800/900MHz is not there.

(I have a v60g phone i compared the menu's with)

It recognized my Vodafone SIM card, but could not get signal because i guess it was stuck on the USA 1900MHz band. I did have signal and made a call in the USA w/ my Vodafone SIM roaming on TMoblie Network.

Is there a software glitch or an update that I need to perform?

Also, I would like to load all the international languages in my phone. I am Greek, and I want that lanuage in my phone, so I can text SMS my family and friends there.

Please try to help me out.
