X70 USB Data Cable help!

Hi.

I bought a USB Data Cable off Ebay from Hong Kong today for my Panasonic X70. It also included a CD of a load of Ringtones/logo's/etc. I used to instructions to install it and the Cable was successfully installed. I checked in the Device Manager to See if there was any errors but there wasn't so i tried to use it but it keeps saying 'trying to connect to handset'. Someone on this forum said to change the port to COM 5 so i did that and tried again, still no luck. I really need this to work so can anyone help me get it working, I've heard it might be because of a driver or something but I'm new to this so any help is really appreciated.

I also bought a data cable from eBay so I could upload some new ringtones, pics, etc. I've used the Handset Manager software supplied with the phone, but it always says it's trying to connect to handset and won't actually connect. BTW, it automatically went to COM4 when I installed the software.

I'd really appreciate some help, does anyone know of any drivers that I could try instead of the one that my Win XP loaded up from the disk? I'm wondering if the cable is faulty or not.

I've tried mailing the supplier of the cable (the software they sent with the cable wasn't even for the X70 although it was listed as such). I sense some negative feedback coming on...

I read from another forum it uses COM 6.

This is the driver for the data cable MA-8320P (USB).

i've tried the driver that i got and the one ^^ posted...but it still says trying to connect to phone

The same thing happened to me. I got a new driver for the data cable and it's been working brilliantly since. Use the link below
