TMo not selling Treo 600 due to litigation

Just got off the phone with TMo sales, and they said that they're no longer selling the Treo 600 due to litigation currently going on. She said it had something to do with software, but they (TMo) would resume sales after the litigation. Does anyone have any more info? Thanks.

That is what I though. I ordered mine off the TMo website (which redirected me to PalmOne), but it isn't on the TMo website anymore (commerical website that is).

The ongoing conflicts between NTP and RIM. They are taking each other to court and it's still not 100% certain RIM will win.

Well, T-Mobile is still selling it because I just got one from my rep. She sent it on Wednesday and it was here on Friday...

Too bad it is going back and I'm sticking with the slightly used one I got. Quality control at PalmOne is just non-existent. At least I got ONE good Treo!!

BTW, the reason for sending the new one back is the screen. It is dark, blue-ish, a bit fuzzy, and dim. The slightly used one that I bought off of a forum member is bright, white, and very crisp.

mine's a palmOne unit and its freaking bright
i always use it in the lowest setting
might want to check out brightcam it actually uses the built in camera in treo to measure light and will set the brightness accordingly

and best of all, its free

Fortunately I have two Treo 600's...I asked the Bus. rep to send me one, and 1hr later got an email from someone selling. I bought his, which arrived prior to the one from T-Mobile. His is in near perfect condition and I'm quite happy with it, and it has a much brighter and clearer screen so I'll keep that one. T-Mobile can have the other one back!

I am going to give Brightcam a try though, it seems like a great idea. Thanks for the tip.
