V60s speakerphone with flip closed?

Does anyone know how to set up a V60s so that you can use the speakerphone with the flip closed during outgoing calls? Mine did it the first day I had it but it doesn't do it any more. When I close the flip the call ends.

turn on the speakerphone. start making the call, and as the phone says "calling...", before it says connected, shut the flip and it will continue to connect.
