P800/T-mobile: GPRS connection drops frequently

I have a P800 with T-mobile unlimited internet. No problems connecting, but GPRS switches to "unavailable" or "not allowed" frequently (every 10-15 minutes or so). And then goes back normal after a few minutes.

That's a pain when I'm using it as a modem for my laptop.

Has nothing to do with the reception, that is always good, this also happens when I'm not moving.

Any ideas / suggestions what causes this and how it can be helped?

Wow, old thread that no one replied to. I had a P800 and now I have a P900 and frequently it does the same thing. It hasn't been doing it THAT much lately but when I first bought it, it had some issues. Reception is not superb either but better than most of what I had.
